Indicator Settings & Features
Threshold
This setting determines the lookback period for calculating the volatility and identifying trends. You can adjust this parameter to customize the sensitivity of the indicator to recent market movements.
Style
This setting allows you to choose the visual style of the indicator. You can select from three options:
- Columns: Represents the oscillator values using columns.
- Histogram: Represents the oscillator values using a histogram.
- Matrix: Represents the oscillator values using a matrix of crosses.
How To Use The Volatility Oscillator
The indicator includes two main colors to represent different market conditions:
- Green: Indicates periods of increased volatility that might be associated with bullish movements.
- Red: Indicates periods of increased volatility that might be associated with bearish movements.
Bullish Labels
These labels appear when the indicator identifies regular bullish trends. These trends suggest potential upward price movements and/or potential market reversals.
Regular Bearish (Red Labels)
These labels appear when the indicator identifies regular bearish trends. These trends suggest potential downward price movements and/or potential market reversals.
